Emotional Freedom Technique – For Physical & Emotional Change

BridgeWhere do you feel anger?  Does the energy get trapped in your gut or in your chest?  Where do you feel frustration on your neck and shoulders or on your lower back?  Have you held onto an emotional trauma for years?  Do you have an annoying pain anywhere on your body which will not go away no matter what you do?  Is your pain more chronic?  Logically, it seems difficult to believe that an “energy” is attached to a particular feeling, pain or experience but it seems to be so.  In the DVD, Try It On Everything, 10 people from different walks of life and experiencing an array of physical and emotional pain, put a technique call Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to the test.  All achieved significant shifts and results.

All that EFT requires is that you consciously acknowledge the problem and tap on some acupuncture points as you state the problem with all the nuances surrounding the problem.  Digging deeper into the roots of the issue if it requires that level of depth brings about even greater release.  After the acknowledgment of the issue, you choose a “new” outcome.  As you do your rounds of tapping (usually 3-4 minutes 1x or 2x a day create a remarkable result) you sense the release and freedom from the “heaviness” of the problem.

For a very chronic situation (i.e. fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome…etc. ) it can take a few weeks of continuing to acknowledge pain/emotional issues while tapping the acupuncture points (possibly 5  minute sessions 1 to 2 times per day).  Each time releasing more of the root emotional issues which frees you up to move forward with less pain, more confidence and clearer direction of how you want to create your life.  This concept of creating and putting forth your vision of what you want and do not want in your life is still very difficult for many people to grasp.  By understanding that most of what we currently don’t like in our life exists because we allowed it (in essence created it), we then can choose to change it and start the wheels turning towards a “new” chapter in our life.  EFT can be used to create this change.

To give a quick illustration on how effective EFT can be, see blood sample pictures below.  It is the case of Rebecca Marina. She went to see her Naturopathic Doctor for a checkup and when Rebecca’s blood was examined under a microscope (Dark Field Microscopy), it contained substantial blood clumping.  Rebecca then corrected this problem with a brief, self-administered EFT session and, when the blood sample was taken again (minutes later), the blood clumping disappeared.  This was astonishing to the Doctor because, normally, it takes weeks of nutritional supplements to correct this condition.

HOW IT WORKS

EFT combines two well established sciences so you can benefit from both at the same time:

  1. Mind Body Medicine
  2. Acupuncture (without needles).

In essence, EFT is an emotional version of acupuncture wherein certain meridian points are stimulated by tapping on them with your fingertips. This addresses a new cause for emotional issues (unbalanced energy meridians). Properly done, this frequently reduces the therapeutic process from months or years down to weeks,  hours or minutes. And, since emotional stress can contribute to pain, disease and physical ailments, it is often found that EFT provides astonishing physical relief.

What is the process of EFT?

1)  Identify what it is you want to work on releasing then give it a rating of how intense it feels; scale from 1-10 (10 being the worst)

2)  Say your root statement while starting at the Karate Chop point which activates the points.  Begin with a statement which is closest to what you are feeling (there is no right or wrong way of wording it…it just has to ring true to you) Repeat 3x at the Karate Chop point:

Example statements: “Even though, I am so angry at (or about) _________ I love and accept myself”   another variation…  “Even though, I am so angry at (or about)_________ I choose to use my anger to strengthen me.”

“Even though, I fear and feel anxious about _________ I love and accept myself    OR   I choose to trust that I will find a creative way to overcome this problem.

“Even though, I have this pain, I choose to make peace with the pain   OR   I choose to hear its cry and give it love.

Continue tapping through all the points (#2-#9):  Say anything you like about the issue while you tap.  Re-assess your intensity scale after each round.   Try to get to 2 or less intensity level.  Search on YOUTUBE for many examples about what people tap on.

Example topics in which to try EFT:

  • Fear and phobias
  • Physical conditions and pain
  • Emotional issues – past, present or future
  • Enhance athletic performance

One of my daughters taps in the car when she begins to feel car sick.  Her symptoms go away every time.  I have used it on a shoulder pain that would not go away and once when I began to have a fever and chills.  Four hours later I was fine.  My husband has used EFT when he could not get over something that occurred at work.  He taps during work hours so he can re-compose himself and at home if he begins to lose sleep over something.

Basically like the DVD states – Try it on anything!  You’ll be amazed at what power you hold with such a simple technique.
